I was listening to a talk in my car the other day from a pastor I really respect.  He was talking on unity.  He said how we really need to work hard to understand each other and learn to accept our differences.  Not an earth shattering thought, but something we often do not talk about or focus on.  He then said this.  What makes accepting one another hard is the tolerance we give ourselves versus others.  He drove it home with this point – “I want to judge others based on their actions, but want them to judge me based on intentions.”  That is a great thought to ponder and one I see in my life.
